AW Pax +pat+ Connection ½ x ¾ : Surface-Mounted Bath Fittings
Reference: A69341-001-008 | Finish: Chromeline | SSIGE Certified & SIA 181 Compliant
The AW Pax module is a high-precision patented mini-cartridge developed by AW AG engineers to effectively remedy hydraulic malfunctions such as excessive pressure and noise in bathtub fittings. This compact solution offers a modern, aesthetic alternative to cumbersome traditional anti-hammer devices.
Acoustic Expertise & SIA 181 Standard
Sound control is a vital quality feature for bathtub installations, which typically experience higher noise levels due to increased flow rates.
- Regulatory Compliance: Designed to support compliance with the strictest building acoustics standards (SIA 181) in Switzerland.
- Acoustic Performance: Laboratory tests (ISO 3822) show that a bath mixer's noise level at 0.5 MPa drops from 36.7 dB(A) to 26.8 dB(A) when equipped with the Pax damper.
- Residential Comfort: Significant reduction in noise transmission through the building structure and to adjacent rooms.
System Safety & Mechanical Protection
The AW Pax acts as an active shield, absorbing the kinetic energy of water flows to protect the entire sanitary network.
- Pressure Surge Control: It acts as an active shield, reducing pressure surges by up to 25 bar. Without protection, rapid valve closures can generate spikes exceeding 30 bar.
- Component Safety: It protects pipes and ceramic cartridges from damage and fatigue failure caused by sudden hydraulic shocks.
- Installation Longevity: Prevents leaks and structural stress on the plumbing system by limiting violent mechanical impacts.
Technical Specifications
To ensure total effectiveness, the following technical parameters must be strictly followed during installation:
- Dimensions: Specific connection format G ½" x ¾" with a union nut (écrou mobile) for simplified mounting.
- Installation: A projection of L = 53 mm must be strictly observed during installation to ensure proper module function.
- Expert Recommendation: Must be applied in pairs (one for hot water and one for cold water) to ensure full protection on both lines.
- Operating Conditions: Nominal pressure PN 10 bar, maximum dynamic pressure 5 bar, and temperature resistance up to 80°C.
Technical Note: This high-precision device is a product of Swiss engineering, providing discreet and powerful protection for your sanitary systems.
