Quick-closing valves in shower and bath mixers generate hydraulic shock waves — known as water hammer — causing pipe noise and premature wear of ceramic cartridges. The AW Pax 3/8" x 1/2" Chromeline absorber eliminates these shocks at the source, discreetly and durably.

Installation

The arrestor is installed directly at the inlet of the exposed fitting. The protrusion of L = 53 mm must be strictly observed during installation. Must be installed in pairs — one module on the hot water inlet, one on the cold water inlet.

Why must the arrestor be installed in pairs?

Each mixer tap has two water inlets — hot and cold. For complete and effective protection, one arrestor must be installed on each inlet.

Which fittings is it compatible with?

Compatible with all standard exposed fittings with a 3/8" x 1/2" connection — shower, bath, washbasin. This is the most common connection in Switzerland and Europe.

What is the difference with the washing machine model?

This Chromeline model is designed for visible exposed fittings with an aesthetic chrome finish. The washing machine model is designed for concealed connections behind appliances.
