Protects exposed shower and bath fittings against water hammer and pipe noise. Absorbs pressure peaks up to 25 bar, reduces noise up to 5 dB(A). SIA 181 compliant. Must be installed in pairs.
Quick-closing valves in shower and bath mixers generate hydraulic shock waves — known as water hammer — causing pipe noise and premature wear of ceramic cartridges. The AW Pax 1/2" x 1/2" Chromeline absorber eliminates these shocks at the source, discreetly and durably.
The arrestor is installed directly at the inlet of the exposed shower or bath fitting. The protrusion of L = 53 mm must be strictly observed during installation. Must be installed in pairs — one module on the hot water inlet, one on the cold water inlet.
What is the difference with the 3/8" x 1/2" model?
This 1/2" x 1/2" model is designed for exposed fittings where both connections are 1/2". The 3/8" x 1/2" model is for fittings with a 3/8" inlet connection. Please check your mixer tap connection before ordering.
Why must the arrestor be installed in pairs?
Each mixer tap has two water inlets — hot and cold. For complete and effective protection, one arrestor must be installed on each inlet.
Which fittings is it compatible with?
Compatible with all standard exposed fittings with a 1/2" x 1/2" connection — shower and bath. This is a very common connection in Switzerland and Europe.
